Our Story

In 2009, our journey began as Candyfloss Cats South East Glasgow - a small pet sitting service built on a simple idea: caring for people’s pets with the same love and attention we give our own.

Lucy joined the business part-time, quickly discovering that caring for cats and other beloved pets wasn’t just a job -  it was a passion.

​

In 2014, Lucy stepped into an ownership role and began shaping the future of the company. Over the following years, that passion turned into something much bigger. Word spread, more clients trusted us with their pets, and our reputation for thoughtful, reliable care continued to grow.

By 2017, demand for our services had grown so much that the business needed to evolve. Lucy restructured the company so it could expand properly while still protecting the high standards of care our clients relied on. A dedicated team was built, made up of people who truly love animals and understand the responsibility of caring for someone’s cherished pet.

In 2019, we expanded into Edinburgh, bringing our trusted cat sitting service to even more pet owners and growing our community of clients and sitters.

​

As the business continued to grow, it became clear that our brand needed to grow with it. In 2024, Candyfloss Cats South East became The Cat Sitting Company, a name that reflects who we are today and the professional, trusted service we provide.

Today, we are a growing team, caring for thousands of much-loved pets across our communities.

​

Our journey has grown and changed over the years, but our purpose remains the same: to provide trusted, loving care for every pet entrusted to us.
