How do I register?Click on the "Book Now" button, enter the first 3 characters of your postcode, click register. This will take you to the portal for your area and you can enter your details to start the registration process.

Do I have to pay to register with The Cat Sitting Company?Yes, we have a one-time £20 registration fee. This not only covers the cost of your in-person consultation, where we get to know your cat's unique needs, but also grants you exclusive access to our user-friendly online portal.

How much does it cost? Do you offer block bookings?We charge per visit - £14.50 per visit for one cat, £16.50 per visit for two cats and £19.50 per visit for 3 or more cats. If you live more than 10 miles from our base, we charge £19.50 per visit for any amount of cats. We do not offer block bookings because our travel time and petrol costs remain the same.

Will there be a meet n greet before I travel?Absolutely! Your cat's comfort is important to us. As part of our service, a meet and greet consultation is included in the registration fee. This allows us to get acquainted with your feline friend, discuss their routine, preferences, and any specific needs they may have. We want to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for both you and your cat during your time away. Feel free to ask any questions or share special instructions during this meeting – it's all about tailoring our care to meet your cat's unique requirements.

What if I need to cancel?We understand that plans can change, and we aim to accommodate your needs as much as possible. Here's a breakdown of our cancellation policy: 7 or more days notice: No cancellation charge. We appreciate early notifications. 3 to 7 days notice: A cancellation charge of 50% of the booking will apply. Less than 3 days notice until the start of your booking: A cancellation charge of 100% of your total booking will be applied. We reserve time specifically for your cat's care, and short-notice cancellations impact our ability to serve other clients. Will I receive any updates while I'm away?Absolutely! We understand how important it is to stay connected with your furry friend. You will receive a personalized update via email after each cat sitting visit. Our updates include photos of your cat, ensuring you can see how they're doing and providing peace of mind during your time away. Additionally, the update will include a brief summary of the visit, letting you know about your cat's activities, mood, and any other noteworthy details. We strive to keep you well-informed and connected to your beloved pet, making your absence a little easier for both you and your cat.

What happens in case of an emergency or if my cat requires veterinary care?In case of an emergency or if your cat requires veterinary care during our visit, your pet's well-being is our immediate concern. Our team at The Cat Sitting Company is trained to handle emergencies efficiently. We'll contact you immediately, providing detailed information and discussing the best course of action for your cat's health. If veterinary care is needed, we'll transport your cat to the vet promptly. Your peace of mind is our priority, and we are committed to swift and responsible action in any situation, ensuring your cat receives the necessary care and attention.

What happens to my keys?If you are a new client, you can give the sitter your keys at your consultation. If you are an existing client you can book a key pick up via the portal (chargeable service) or you can drop off at our mailbox in Kinning Park (mailbox is for Glasgow clients only) After the last visit, we can hold onto your keys until you return and we'll drop them off to you. Please note the drop off will be when we have a visit near you so it coincides with our cat visiting route, this may take up to 3 days. If you have someone with a spare key that lives nearby, we can post your keys through your letterbox after the last visit. Please note that we only post keys if someone has another key (apart from you away on your trip and anyone with you.) This ensures access to continue visiting if your return is delayed and you can't make it back on time to feed your cat. If you decide that you want us to hold onto the keys but you need them back the next day, you can book a key drop off via the portal (chargeable service). We offer a free key holding service for your convenience, this allows seamless operations for future visits. Our clients' keys are stored in an off-site highly secure safe, they are tagged only with your cat's name for identification, keeping your private details separate.

What happens if you store my keys and I need them back?You can book a "key drop off" via the portal. This service involves a sitter travelling to our key store, collecting your keys and travelling to your home address to drop them off. The charge of £8-£10 (depending on your area) covers time/petrol. If there isn't a specific time by which you need your keys returned, we can drop them off when we're in the area.
